Letterbook, 1787-1789.

This folio volume consists of copies of letters written by his sons William and David ( - ), his wife Elizabeth ( - ), and himself to various business acquaintances and family members. All are dated and concern Meredith's tanning business in Philadelphia and family ventures elsewhere. A number of letters are addressed to Gouverneur and Kemble, Merchants, in New York, probably related to William Meredith's wife, Gertrude Gouverneur Ogden (1777-1828).
